Kim-Bop Paradise

In Korea, Gim-Bop Paradise is one of the most popular restaurants. There are two main menus in there. One is rice rolled in a dried laver which is called gimbop and the other one is ramen which is a Korean noodle. Gimbop is similar to rice rolls known as Japanese food which is made of various ingredients, but the distinct characteristic is that it is rolled in a dried laver. Ramen is a little spicier but tastier than Japanese noodle. This ramen brings flavor with Gimbop. If you are a smoker, and you smoke after eating gimbop and ramen, you could feel like being in Paradise. Korean smokers believe that the most delicious smoking must be right after having ramen.
This store sells around 50 different menus and its price is ranging from $1 to $4. This store has been booming since the economic recession was faced in Korea and people can have their meal at the price of only $1. In addition, Gim-Bop Paradise is famous among foreign traveler and visitors because its menus are relatively delicious compared to its low price.
In the western area of the United States, many Asian or Asian-American reside whose principal food is rice. People who want to eat rice such as rice rolls, sushi roll and thing like that should pay more $6 to $10. Mostly in the United States, Chinese food is considered a little cheap such as Panda Express. But the food is relatively greasy and oily so it is not appropriate for people who are interested in their health and diet. On the other hand, Korean gimbop and ramen is low calories, delicious and cheap.
Therefore, I think that this Gim-Bop Paradise could be successful in the USA market.
Why not in the United States?

This sounds great to me! I like your approach to comparing Korea and the USA with respect to which products could be brought across and introduced. I can't wait to see more ideas.

My husband and I lived in Seoul for 5 months this past Fall-Spring (11/3/08-3/30/09). One of our most favorite places to eat was Kimbop "Heaven" (as some call it) Paradise. My favorite was the Soondubu Chigae and my husband's was the Tonegass. Very delicious, very inexpensive, but unfortunately...not the most healthy food to eat on a regular basis. It is very rich in sodium. I would suggest only eating here about once a week.
